Digital Painting Study of Hellena

This was a digital painting study that I did in two sittings. It took about four and a half hours. Nantucket painter Marshall DuBock taught me how to paint rocks when I was a kid in his studio.

After doing the black and white piece last night, I threw some quick colors on it before starting my regular work today. Total time, about 20 minutes to color.

Hellena is my creator-owned fantasy character in her own comic entitled 'The Axe of Hellena' which I put out as often as I can.
